Help Your Significant Other Get Into a Healthy Environment

By Justin Meyer When you are dealing a significant other who is depressed, they are usually going to live in an environment that is not conducive to getting better. This is a pitfall of depression, that it can be environmentally-based but as you become more and more depressed you become more and more apathetic towards your environment a real catch-22. How you help them fix this is a key to their getting better. However, it could require more domestic work than you are comfortable with, or than you signed up for. The first thing that you need to evaluate is the cleanliness of their living space. Things to look for are garbage all over the place, dirty dishes piling up, clothes strewn all over the floor, things that are clearly out of place. See how messy they are, and try to figure out if they have always been this way. If they have, it will be harder to break them of these habits but it is still essential. A clean living area will help reduce stress and will give your significant other a start towards getting better. Depending on how much time you spend there, it will also help you to stay healthy. Get them to start cleaning up, with you directing and assisting. Make sure that they are putting things in a space where the items can live permanently. Stopgap cleaning, while temporarily helpful, will not improve the situation. How To Apply Your Makeup

By Julia Anderson How To Apply Your Makeup STEP 1: FOUNDATION: After Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing your face apply a small amount of foundation to the tip of your index finger, dot on forehead, nose, cheeks and chin then blend in an upward and outward motion without leaving a line. Be sure to apply foundation over your eyelids and blend without leaving a line. Glance in the mirror to ensure there’s no line. You can use a concealer to cover imperfections such as blemishes and dark spots. You can use our NATU-CLEAR to remove dark spots, even skin tone and skin discoloration. STEP 2: TRANSLUCENT POWDER: Using a Powder Brush apply Translucent Powder in a downward motion for a smooth finish. Translucent Powder helps eye makeup and blush to go on smoother and blend better. It also keeps your face looking fresh and your Makeup will last longer. STEP 3 EYE MAKEUP: Starting at your lash line, apply your Base Color first, then apply your crease color in the crease area. Apply your Highlight Color in the highlight color area, below the brow bone. Finally, blend the colors with a cotton ball or your fingertip to remove any obvious line. If the colors are too bright tone them down with a little Translucent Powder then apply your Mascara, and dust your entire face downward with Translucent Powder. STEP 4 BLUSH: Your Blush should go on the apples of your cheeks to radiate when you smile. It should go no closer to your nose, but directly beneath the iris of your eye; below nostril-level and into your temple hairline. A good Blush Brush that’s tapered for precise placement, is a must. STEP 5 LIPSTICKS: Define the outline of your lips with a professional lip brush or lip liner pencil that closely matches the color of your lipstick. Then apply your lipstick and blend the liner with a lip brush. Start from the center working outwards. Just Too Happy For Words

By David Gomm The other day a client came to pick up a window we built for her. She took one look at it and broke into tears. Yes, it really was that beautiful, a real knockout of design. Most people don’t burst into tears over the beauty of their window, that comes later on an overcast day, when they are in a mood and they walk in to see those vibrant colors that somehow draw emotion out of you, forcing you to pay attention. Stained glass art does that, it draws out emotions, demands recognition. There was a painting that some friends of mine owned. It was a macro-realistic painting of strawberries with a drop of water on one of the leaves and it was so perfect and so big, it took me away. It made me feel that I was a fraud, that my art meant nothing compared to this perfect still-life. It didn’t actually make me weep to view that beauty, but it did bring me to the brink of tears (it’s a guy thing, I guess). I feel sorry for those who never develop a sensitivity to art work. Like the fellow in Missouri who asked what you did with that there stained glass when you were done with it. I carefully explained that we put it in the window and enjoyed the way it looked. He nodded his head for a long time and then said, “But you can’t see through it.” He was right, you often can’t see through a piece of stained glass, but, Oh the joy of looking at it, instead of through it. The Father of the client picking up the window really tried to understand his daughters connection to the piece of glass. “You really like that, don’t you? Can you tell me what it is about it that you like? She answered and he still kept asking, not understanding the beauty that she beheld. I’m glad to be one of those who gets it when viewing a piece of glass, and a great painting, a good view and a great sunset. Maybe I need to find common ground with guys who dont get glass, Im sure they swell with pride when they look at their dog or maybe their new truck…. David Gomm started building stained glass windows professionally back in 1983 and has become an expert at many aspects of stained glass building, design and repair. He writes a monthly newsletter at his better stained glass website. Free and Funny Wedding Speeches

By Lorna Mclaren Making a Wedding Speech can be a very stressful event for those involved. To stand up and make a speech in front of any group can be nerve racking but when you consider that those about to make a Wedding Speech are about to stand up before friends and family then it can bring on a whole new set of nerves!! Sometimes the person making the Wedding Speech will inject a few good one liners to add an element of fun and if delivered well this can be very effective. One important point that goes with humor in a Wedding Speech is to practise your delivery, there is no point in being flustered and saying the punchline first!! Many Wedding Speeches made by the groom will mention his new mother-in-law and he may extend his thanks for a job well done in bringing up her daughter. One groom took this a step further and thanked his father-in-law for giving him two mother-in-laws! Generally the grroms speech will be made on behalf of himself and his new wife and if he knows what is good for him he will praise her to the hilt! Next in the grooms speech he should thank the bridesmaids for performing their duties and it then falls to the groomsman to reply on behalf of the bridesmaid in his speech. It makes sense for the the groom and his groomsman to get together to discuss this part of their speeches before hand. If you are on the look out for free wedding speech ideas then look no further. Here are a few that I have discovered, I’m told that the best speech makers follow three simple rules. Stand Up. Speak Up. Then, very quickly, Shut Up. I’ll try to stick to that advice. The brain is a wonderful thing. It never stops functioning from the time you’re born until the moment you stand up to make a speech.- Herbert V Prochnow and Herbert V Prochnow Jnr The trouble with being the best man at a wedding is that you never get the chance to prove it. Here’s to our wives and lovers. May they never meet. The most effective way to remember your wedding anniversary is to forget it once. ‘Grow old along with me, The best is yet to be.’-Robert Burns These are just a few of the examples that are available on the internet. Really researching your Wedding Speech can help you quiten your nerves because you will then be comfortable with what you are going to say. So you have done your research, you have prepared a fantastic free wedding speech and you have practised in front of the mirror, you are ready to go! Try not to over do the dutch courage and have a great Wedding and good luck with the speech! Burn Fat Naturally - 2 Killer Tips for Natural Fat Loss

By Tom Gifford If you want to burn fat naturally, then you should be congratulated! 98% of people just want some magic pill that promises no extra work or effort to burn fat. Truthfully, we know that fat loss needs some good quality effort and work to show the results you are looking for. This article will show you two great ways to burn fat naturally and permanently. Here are 2 awesome tips to burn fat naturally and permanently. BURN FAT NATURALLY TIP #1: Your workouts should include total body strength training Thats right, if you really want to burn fat with exercise then total body strength training 2-3 times per week is a great way to do so. The reason that total body strength training is so great is because the addition of lean muscle mass is an excellent way to increase your metabolism. The higher your metabolism, the more calories your body burns! For most people, this sounds counterintuitive. There is a common myth that strength training makes you “big and bulky”. The truth is that muscle mass uses stored fat as fuel! Fat is not converted to muscle or anything like that. Here is an example of a total body strength training workout that you can try doing to help naturally burn fat: 1. Bodyweight squats 2. Seated row 3. Leg curls on a stability ball 4. Ab crunches on a stability ball 5. Pushups 6. DB squat and press REPS: 10-15 ROTATIONS: 2-3 REST: 30-45 seconds As you can see, this type of workout uses every muscle in your body. The more muscle you use, the more calories you will burn! BURN FAT NATURALLY TIP #2: Avoid high glycemic “bad” carbs If you want to burn fat, then your diet is going to play a huge role with how successful you are! One of the biggest tips to remember with diet is to avoid “bad” carbs such as junk food, fast food, white bread, refined sugars, etc. The reason these are bad for you is that they make your blood sugar go through the roof. The higher your blood sugar, the more insulin your body releases to stores the excess as body fat. A better idea is to consume more complex carbohydrates. Complex carbs are great because they are a lot more work for your body to break down. This means that your body actually has to use stored energy to help with the digestive process. This is a great way of increasing your metabolism by diet alone! CONCLUSION This article is just a small piece of the overall picture for how to burn fat naturally, but it gives you a taste of some great steps you can begin taking. If you want more information, check out the links below. Good luck and train hard =) Want to Reprint this Article on How to Burn Fat Naturally? A Unique Interview with an Online Collectibles Expert

By Monique Hawkins There are many collectible enthusiasts. Some collectibles that people enjoy collecting include music boxes, glassware, vintage pottery, limited edition pieces, antiques, antique model cars, and NASCAR collectibles to name a few. Some enjoy collecting so much that they choose to start their own business, which is exactly what Nancy of nancyscollectibles.com has done. A love for glassware, pottery, and limited edition pieces resulted in her starting her own website. I recently did an interview with Nancy about her collectible business. Let’s listen in and get a behind the scenes look into what it is like to run an online collectible business. 1. Could you describe your online and offline business operations, your services and/or products in detail? My business is a one-person operation. On a weekly basis, I scour estate sales, yard sales, and sometimes auctions for new inventory. I take pictures of everything purchased and add them to my site. Most of the items are either antique or limited edition pieces. 2. What made you decide to start a business specializing in collectibles? What was your inspiration or motivation? I have always liked glassware, pottery, and limited edition pieces. I have collections of many types of things, some of which is California pottery by Kay Finch, Geisha Girl porcelain, Sabino figurines, depression glassware, Belleek porcelain, teapots, and chintz porcelain. My husband and I started going to live auctions several years ago for our personal wants and ended up with a lot of things that I knew I could sell on eBay. I sold on eBay for about 2 years and decided that I could do better with my own website, which is what I did. 3. What have been your major challenges/obstacles over the years? How did you overcome them? Knowing what to buy, how much to pay for it, and what to sell it for. I obtained several books for researching and lots of studying what others were buying, selling, and charging. Also, just experience. I still have some of my mistakes! 4. What specific types of online or offline marketing tools are you using successfully? I always have my business cards with me. Every opportunity I am given, I talk about my business to friends, relatives, or acquaintances. I have my monthly newsletter, which I hope is informative enough for my subscribers and light enough for them to enjoy, as well as learn. Also, hope that other sites pick it up and add a link to it on their sites. I have a link to my site on all my emails. Occasionally, I sell on eBay and have a page with a link to my site there. I have submitted my site to many directories. 5. Have you always envisioned yourselves doing what you are doing now? Has it always been a passion? What did you “want to be when you grew up”? I have always been a social person, but never saw myself as an owner of a website. My passion was collecting, not selling. I worked in an office for many years before I became a mother. Since then I have been a stay-at-home mom to my two sons. They were my passion and still are to some extent, but they are both grown now. My site has now become my passion. 6. What if your least favorite part of running your business? Your favorite part? My least favorite part is the bookkeeping part; it’s very tedious and time consuming. My favorite part is finding the treasures and also helping someone find a lost or broken piece that may have been a family heirloom or just a childhood memory. 7. What are some of your favorite collectible pieces and why? Of all my personal collectibles, I would say my favorite is my chintz porcelain. 8. Is there any interesting history associated with some of your pieces? I have some pottery bowls that I have inherited from my grandmother. I have yet to identify the maker of them, but they bring back memories of my childhood when I spent time with her. Its probably not interesting history to anyone, but myself. 9. What important advice or tips would you give to someone who would like to start a business such as yours either online or offline? Start a business doing something you like! Do your research on how well that type of business is doing by others. Start small and slow. 10. For those antique and music box collectors looking to find valuable and interesting pieces for their own collections, where would you suggest they go either online or offline? How about those who are just starting a collection? You have more to select from online. More than likely on one of the online auctions. If you like adventure, go to estate sales, garage/yard sales, and live auctions. I hope you have enjoyed this look into the world of owning an online collectibles store. Established in May of 2005, http://www.My-Music-Box.com is a music box gift store specializing in music box products such as inlaid ballerina music boxes for ballerina rooms dcor, whimsical carousel music boxes, and musical jewelry boxes. The company provides interesting information for music lovers of all ages. Owner Monique Hawkins is also the author of the blog “What You Never Knew About Music” http://whatyouneverknewaboutmusic.blogspot.com , and owner of the eBay store “Monique’s Music Box” at: http://stores.ebay.com/Moniques-Music-Box Monique can be contacted at (540) 858-2885. Hiding Your Depression

By Justin Meyer You dont always want people to know what you are suffering from, and you might want to make sure that you are able to prevent others from knowing about your condition. There are a few reasons for why you might want to do this. The first, and simplest, is that it is not anybody elses business. The second is that people might look down on you for being in therapy or having a mental illness that has been diagnosed. So how do you keep it quiet? The first way is to, if possible, schedule therapy after work by at least a half hour plus travel time. That way, if you are stuck late in work, you will be able to still make therapy. You dont need to leave at a specific time on the same day every week and make people suspicious. You want to do the same with your psychiatrist appointments. Doctors appointments, every now and again, are fine, but when you are going every month or three months, people might start to get suspicious. You might even want to try and find a therapist or psychiatrist with evening hours. If you need to take medications during the day, keep it in something small that fits in your pocket (a small envelope works well here) and go to the bathroom to take your pills. Finally, give your therapist and psychiatrist your cell phone number, but not your work number, and tell them when you are out at lunch and able to get to your phone. This way, you will not be getting calls at work where you are talking about appointments that might sound odd to a poorly-timed passer-by. Finally, check your insurance policies if they are through work, and make sure that they do not release anything to your employer. If they do, explore getting treatment outside of your insurance. Now Is The Time To Fix Your Bad Credit Score

By Nathalie Fiset Most people been in a situation where we need to get some form of financial assistance from lending institutions such as banks. We may have to get a car loan or maybe a home loan. We may even want apply for loans to cover during emergency situations. However, when you go to these lending institutions to get some financial help, they first need to do a credit check before granting you a loan. Of course, these institutions are usually private companies who don’t want to risk losing their money to somebody with a bad credit score. Credit reports contain all your loan transactions. If you have had previous loans that you were not able to pay, then they will contribute to giving you a bad credit scor or rating, which will consequentially require you to fix your bad credit score. All your loan transactions are summarized and rated which gives you your credit score. The higher your credit score, the better. That means you’ve been a responsible loan payer. A lower credit score may mean that you don’t have enough credit history yet, or that you were not able to pay off a majority of your loans. With a bad credit score, it will definitely be hard for you to obtain new credit, thus you need to fix your bad credit score immediately. The financial market favors those with high credit score. If your credit score is bad, there are a lot of benefits that may not be available for you. For example, low interest loans are offered to those with high credit scores. They’re also offered better deals on mortgages. Even if you don’t think you’ll need a loan in the near future, you should start taking steps to fix your credit score. Nobody exactly knows when a loan can come in handy. Usually, financial shortages cannot be predicted. It’s always better to be ready for that unexpected moment when you need to apply for a loan. The first thing that you need to do to fix your bad credit score will be to obtain a credit report. It’s highly recommended to get a copy of your credit reports from the three major credit reporting bureaus, namely: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. Although these three bureaus may follow the same rules in computing for your score, there may some discrepancies in the data that they were able to gather. To be able to fix your credit score, you need to know what your credit score is and all the things that are written on your credit report. Although it happens rarely, but it does happen that there maybe some information written on them that you don’t have any idea about. For example, it may reflect a loan that you don’t remember applying for. Or maybe a paid loan that still shows to be unpaid. When these errors occur, what you need to do is to contact the creditor responsible and explain your side. You shouldn’t have a difficult time in doing this since most creditors will gladly help you out to fix a bad credit rating. It is really important to check your credit reports regularly. The government knows this, thus, every US consumer is entitled to one free credit report every year. Take advantage of this to check for any mistakes on your credit report. You can also use this to ensure that you haven’t fallen victim to an identity theft. It can actually take several weeks for your credit score to be corrected. Aside from contacting your creditors, you may have to fill out a credit dispute form from the credit reporting agency. To minimize all the hassles, you can actually go online and request a copy of this form. When you have checked that your credit score report is error free, then you need to start working on any negative remarks in the report. If you haven’t paid your loans on time, most creditors may leave negative comments in your credit report. You might want to try to talk it out with the creditor. There are actually several credit repair agencies that promise to fix your bad credit score. Before you sign up for any of them, make sure that they’re not just one of the bogus credit repairmen that will just run off with your hard earned money. If you can’t ensure their reliability, then the best option left is for you to fix your bad credit score yourself. The 10 Commandments of Successful Exercise and Weight Loss Programs

By Kevin Gianni Successful and rewarding exercise and weight loss programs can be different in design, but they all carry some very similar traits. I call them the 10 Commandments… ready to learn what will propel you to fitness success? You don’t have to be religious to follow these! Read on… 1. Thou Shalt Eat Healthy Meals Successful exercise and weight loss programs hinge on the time you make for yourself to eat healthy meals. Everyone is “on the run”, whether they travel, have kids, work 18 hours a day. Planning is the only way to integrate healthy eating habits and exercise into their daily routine. Just like anything, you have to think about it and make a conscious effort to change your habits in order for them to stick. 2. Thou Shalt Move… Anytime! Having a 20 minute exercise routine is better than having none. Having a 10 minute routine is better than none. The key is being prepared. Many people find themselves with 20-30 minute pockets of time during their days where they have nothing to do. This is the best time to squeeze in a walk or a quick office or one of your home workout routines. 3. Thou Shalt Be Prepared Carry a bag in your car with these items. Running shoes, bottled water, a change of clothes and a towel. Being prepared with this emergency exercise kit will help you use those precious moments to get in some of the exercise that your body so desperately needs. 4. Thou Shalt Not Skip Breakfast You would think that the clients I have who are over 300 pounds would eat a kings breakfast. They don’t. In fact most of them don’t eat breakfast at all. Not even the stuff that is nutrient poor like pancakes, bagels and waffles! When you skip breakfast, your metabolism never “wakes up” from your sleep and your body thinks there’s going to be a famine. This means it holds on to food in the form of fat, making your waistline expand, and your energy levels drop. 5. Thou Shalt Set Goals If you don’t know where you’re going you’ll never get there. Exercise and weight loss programs go absolutely nowhere if you don’t plan for your success. Write your goals down, be extrordinary, and make sure you put together a collage and put it somewhere you will see it all the time to be reminded of your quest. 6. Thou Shalt Find a Support Group A great way to succeed is to be around a group of peers who support and care about you. There are many different ways to find a support group. You can join a local one or an online group. If you’re not comfortable with that, you can always enlist the help of a friend. 7. Thou Shalt Drink Water To keep your body functioning at maximum efficiency, you need fluid. Many people compromise their exercise and weight loss programs by never drinking enough water to flush out their systems and keep their metabolism fired up. 8. Thou Shalt Not Listen to the Fat Guy Don’t go to the fat guy for health and fitness advice. I can’t tell you how many fat people want to give me advice on how to train and teach people how to lose weight. Listen to those who are living it and are visually in the place you’d like to be. 9. Thou Shalt Learn New Things Keep learning new things from new people. Many different exercise and weight loss programs focus on different ideas and techniques. The best weight loss program might be a combination of two or three. 10. Thou Shalt Smile! Smiling will help you succeed mentally. Exercise and weight loss programs are tough and when you can take them with a lighter heart and mind, your success is inevitable.
